Guruji comes to celebrate my birthday!

17th August 2012 - My birthday. Most of my friends had already anticipated this day as one of the best days of my life. Around 10th August, I found out that if its your birthday, Guruji does give you an appointment (generally). For that you just have to give your details to the Secretariat. On 16th August 2012, I went to Secretariat office (Bangalore Ashram) to give my details. Once I reached the Secretariat office, I found out that Guruji has left ashram, and will be back on 18th August. That meant, I won't be able to meet Him on my birthday. I just prayed silently that Guruji if you can come, do come and meet me on 17th. If its not possible, then too it's ok, we will meet on 18th. I headed towards my office (Sumeru software office).

As soon as I reached the office, I got the news that Guruji will be back on the night of 16th only! I was very happy!

On 17th August 2012, I woke up, had bath, did sadhana, had breakfast, and sat in Amphitheatre (at about 8:30 am). I was waiting for the Secretariat office to open. Once it opened, I went there to give my details. The person there told me to come at 11:00 am. So, I went to my room (outside ashram), freshned up, changed clothes, and reached the Secretariat office at 11. The incharge there told me that Devi Puja is going on (it was a Friday), go attend that and then come. So I went to attend the Devi Puja. I saw Guruji on stage (in full Bhaav). It was beautiful. As soon as it got over, I went to the Secretariat office. There I saw 2 of my colleagues. They were also asking for an appointment of Guruji, if He could visit our Sumeru Software office today (A week ago, Guruji was travelling to Narmada - a place near Sumeru Software office. He had then promised that He will soon visit our office. Besides 17th August was also our CEO - Harish Sir's birthday). So they wrote the details in Guruji's appointment diary. While leaving they also recommended the incharge to help me meet Guruji in Ganga Kutir (since it was my birthday). I wrote my details, in the diary, and hoped for the best. For about an hour, I did not receive any response. I had lunch and got a call from one of my friends. I told her that Guruji is very busy today, and there are chances that He might not meet me. To which she said: You don't have to meet Him, He will come to you. She added: I want that there should be a webcast today, and you should sit besides Him throughout the webcast. I just laughed it out! I was like, Yes right!

On that very day, I had my Sahaj Samadhi Course @ 5:15pm. At around 3:45pm, I got a call that come to Ganga Kutir. I was ecstatic! I asked one of my colleagues to drop me at Ganga Kutir (via bike). After 5 mins. I received another call: 'You don't have to come; Guruji is coming there!'
And that He will reach Sumeru office by 4:30pm. I went mad hearing this news. Everyone were like: Ohh my god, Yogi! Guruji is coming to meet You!

It was about 4:30pm. Latest update was that Guruji is on His way. I messaged one of my friends about this amazing news. Her immediate reply was: What about your Sahaj? I was like: Ohh my god! I forgot about it! My colleague then adviced me to go to reception and get your course re-scheduled for next friday. I followed his advice and got it done.

I came back to office, and we all eagerly waited for Guruji to come. At about 5:45pm, Guruji came. I was watching Him from a distance. After sometime, we all went up to the meditation room (where we all were supposed to sit). I was one of the last few who entered the room. Guruji was sitting on a chair (on stage). Rest of us, were sitting down. As I was preparing to sit, we saw each other. Guruji widened His eyes and smiled. As soon as I sat, Guruji said: Where is the birthday boy?! Harish Sir went on stage. I didn't go because He said Birthday 'boy'; not 'boys' :D

Then all the Sumeru employees started searching for me. (Since I had distributed chocolates to the whole office, they knew it was my birthday too!). Then they all said: Yogi go on stage. He called me on stage. I went near Him, looked at Him and touched His feet. He patted my back and blessed me. He asked me and Harish Sir to sit besides Him, near His feet. Harish sir was kind enough to allow me to sit besides Him & he himself sat away from Guruji (besides me).

The Sumeru meeting began. Question-Answer session happened. The meeting was recorded via a private webcast, since there were few from other regions who were participating in the meeting, online! I was holding the camera throughout the meeting. Once the meeting was over, Guruji said: Ok, its time to go. As He got up, I just looked at Him (my facial expressions were like: Guruji what about the Birthday boys??). Then Guruji said: Ohh we have birthday celebrations, cake cutting hmmm...

My friends got the surprise cake, and handed over to me. I held it and gave the knife to Guruji. Guruji read that was written on the cake: 'Happy Birthday yogi... hmmm... Yogi..'
We both cut the cake together. He then asked for a tissue from someone, I removed the cut piece with my hands and kept it in that tissue (that Guruji were holding). He smashed the cake (along with tissue), over my mouth. He then asked me to turn around and pose for photos!! :)

Once this happened, He gifted me a parker pen. I accepted the gift and seeked His blessings! :)

Looking back, I recalled that whatever my friend said, actually came true! She had told me that:
1) It will be the most memorable day of my life
2) That I won't have to go to Him. He will come to meet me!
3) There was indeed a private webcast that happened; and I was seated besides Him throughout.

Today when I think of this day, it feels like, this was all a dream. Looking at the pictures, it feels as if, someone entered my dream, and captured these pictures. Such an amazing day it was where the divine came specially to celebrate my birthday. Thankful to all my dear friends for their love, prayers and efforts to make my day special! :)

I am truly blessed and lucky to have such an amazing Guru and such lovely friends :)
