Love
If your left hand tells you, 'I don't want to be with you', would you let it go?
Or would you tell the hand: 'Are you stupid?! You are part of me; don't even think about it!'
If a close family member is suffering and is seeking your help, would you leave him/her alone?
Or would you keep aside everything in your life and completely focus on him/her till they become alright?!
Down phase comes in everybody's life, yet they don't last for long, unless left unattended.
These are like passing clouds.
People whom you know, who are going through their down phases, don't leave them alone. They need the shelter of your love during these dark phases. And once you give them the unconditional love, in no time they become alright! In no time, the dark clouds simply pass by and sun shines at its best. And it's all light everywhere, as if darkness never existed.
But what is needed in that phase of darkness? Light? No. A shelter of unconditional love and attention is what is needed. An unconditional assurance of 'don't worry, I am with you'. Once you give that, you will see the light dawns on its own.
If we truly ask ourselves, what are we here for? To give or to receive?
Are we here for our own self or for others?
Aren't we here to care and share. Is it not?
Okay, don't care for the whole world but at least care for your dear ones.
Also, can a connection break? Yes, one may feel that there is a disconnection. And that is when the loved one should make him/her realise that the connection cannot be broken, it's only a feeling of disconnection. A re-establishment of connection is not needed, simply knowing that you are connected is enough to experience the connection again.
So, the next time your left hand (a person close to your heart) tells you, I don't want to be with you, simply tell it, 'you are a part of me and I am incomplete without you. There is no other option but to stay together.' Giving this assurance itself is LOVE.
