Rain - not today!

Rains are stressed,
Prayers everyday - please not today,
Weekdays - I need to go to office
Weekends - the only time to roam around
Dear rain, not today.

Okay okay, the rains said.

Allow me to come and I will complete my work in one go.

And so it happened,

it started raining continuously, for hours and days and then for days it did not rain.

Wow! Thanks for allowing me to fall, the rains said, and sorry to bother you, it added.

Yet, there are few who still complain, why doesn't it stop now; it's just raining and raining and raining.

Perhaps, I can never make everyone happy, the rain exclaimed.

Wait, we all need you - a voice was heard.

The rain looked back to see who it was.

To it's surprise, those were the trees and plants.

Dear rain, humans don't care for us either, please do rain, we love you, we need you.

And that's how it rained every year.
