Google Messages can now create and share Google Keep lists inside a chat

Google Messages is getting a Google Keep integration that lets you build a shared list without leaving the conversation. Google's example uses are a grocery list or a set of travel notes — the kinds of things people currently paste into a chat as a long text message and then re-paste every time something changes.

Once created, the list shows up inline in the chat as a shared note rather than as a link out to another app, and the people in that conversation can update it. Google says a 'Create list' suggestion and a shortcut in the attachment menu are the entry points. That saves the round trip of writing a list in one app, sharing it, and then fielding replies about what to add.

The integration is rolling out starting 1 September as part of the September 2026 Android Drop. It follows the wider rollout of Chat themes in the same app. Google has not published a separate country-by-country schedule, and Drop features typically reach devices in waves over several weeks.
