Hyderabad devotee donates Rs 10 lakh to TTD's free-meals trust at Tirumala

The Telugu word for donation is trending after reports that a devotee from Hyderabad, Bandi Satya Narayana, handed over a cheque for Rs 10 lakh to the Sri Venkateswara Annaprasadam Trust run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. The cheque was presented to TTD chairman B.R. Naidu on Saturday, 22 August 2026.

The Annaprasadam Trust funds the free meals served every day to visitors at Tirumala, one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in India. The trust runs largely on contributions, and donors can give anything from small amounts to sums that sponsor a full day of meals. TTD publishes these contributions on its own news channel, which is part of why individual donations often surface in search interest.
