Realme P4s 5G lands in India with an 8,000mAh battery and a 144Hz AMOLED screen

Realme has launched the P4s 5G in India, and the headline number is its battery: 8,000mAh, well above the 5,000mAh that most mid-range phones carry. It supports 80W wired fast charging, which the company says takes the phone to half a charge in roughly 28 minutes.

The screen is a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, so scrolling and gaming look smoother than on a standard 60Hz or 120Hz display. Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chip paired with a separate display and gaming co-processor, plus a vapour chamber cooling layer. The main rear camera is a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilisation, and the body carries IP66, IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.

The combination of a very large battery, a fast display and high ingress protection at a mid-range price is what has drawn attention, along with comparisons against rival launches in the same segment. Sales are set to begin in early September through Flipkart, Realme's own site and offline stores.
