Does unconditional love exist?

Reflections

Worldly love can never be unconditional. No matter how much a person says, “Oh my love is unconditional for you,” or you hear someone say their love is unconditional there is definitely some condition involved.

In this world, the word love is used where there is mutual respect and mutual understanding. And if one of the people involved behaves in a way that is not acceptable, that so-called unconditional love breaks down.

A glimpse of unconditional love can certainly be seen in a mother’s love for her child. But in this world, there simply cannot be unconditional love - unless the love is for the Divine. And only when one realizes - I am not saying 'understands', but 'realizes' - that the same Divine prevails in everyone and everything, only then can unconditional love truly be found in this world.

We need to understand that the very intention of this world is to break us down so that we go within to realize the divine. If the world starts giving us constant comfort and so-called unconditional love, it will eventually break - because the purpose is for us to turn inward.

Every crisis, every mishap, every discomfort that occurs in this world is only for us to go within. And the person who has already turned inward, whose source of love is from the divine - that person will remain happy. Because the very intention of life on this planet has been realized.
