Guru

As a child I was very lazy. Sleeping all the time :D. When I started opening my eyes, one thing that I remember is I was a very confused child. When I say confused, I mean I always wanted to know what is the right way to live... what is the proper way of doing anything for that matter..
And then came Guruji in my life. I would say everyone should have a Guru. And if you are lucky enough, you will have Sri Sri as your Guru ;)
Thanks to the Art of Living, I have learnt so much. Almost every Knowledge Sheet that Guruji has explained in His discourse, I have practically experienced it and that's how I learnt them! There is one Knowledge Sheet that I would want to share with all of you. I feel, if you just understand and follow this Knowledge Sheet, that is enough!
The Knowledge Sheet is as under:-
GURUJI said in any organization there are 12 people. Four Lucheche (Hindi word for not very good), Four Kacheche(unripe) and four Sacheche (truthful or good). So anyone to reach the Centre has to pass through these sets of people, no other shortcuts. The lucheches will behave badly and make you retreat. It is upto you to overcome them and proceed. Then the Kacheches who are themselves not very strong in their faith will try to influence you with their ideas and weaken you. Here too it is your faith which will help you to go further. Now you are almost at the centre but there are the Sachche lots who shine like stars around the shining sun. All of them mostly good looking and with great qualities. You are sure to fall for them. If you get stuck with them yet you wont reach the Centre. Hence you have to overcome them all and reach the Centre that you can do only when you are a true Sadhak a true seeker.
I have literally faced all the 12 people in my life to reach the center! You have to leave everything behind.. even your Guru! Once you reach the center, you will realise that there is no two.. there is only one :))
One thing that I would advice my friends is stop being dependent. Yes Guru is there, Divine is there, He will take care of anything. But stop depending on Him. Instead consider God, the Divine as a new born baby. This way you will not ask anything from God, you will only love Him, adore Him. And knowing that the Divine and you are no different, is the most beautiful thing! Doing nothing, only waiting and saying 'I know He will do it for me.' is not the right attitude! There is a huge section of devotees who follow spiritual practices only to get something in return! And they wait for a while for things to change, they get impatient and they leave the practices.. saying nothing is happening! This attitude has to change. When we do Sadhana regularly, there are so many things that start improving. So many which we are not aware of! The vibrations around, the calmness... But we are in to get a specific thing in return, and when we do not get that specific thing, we quit the practices!
Have this faith, the Divine knows what is best for me and at the same time, work towards achieving it, as if it all is in your hands to make it happen! That is the right attitude!
Another thing is.. which Guruji has also mentioned: Stop physically following Him. Guru is a shakti, he is not an individual! Know that you are connected. How can you run behind a Shakti, which is everywhere! :D Just know that you are connected.. that is it! If you really love your Guru.. follow His principles. DO regular Sadhana, serve everyone with a smile :) Have this objective to see a smile on everyone's face. Then you have truly lived this lifetime!
One thing, that I often come across is. Why do u have to do sadhana regularly? If you have done it for years and then you leave, why doesn't it help you? The answer is so simple. If you have a car, you make sure its in good condition every day, service it when required.. and then you stop driving it and keep it in garage. Then after 3 months or so, you expect it to perform in the best way? Regular Sadhana is so very important for our vehicle (body).
If you ask me. After more than 5 years in Art of Living, in the month of October 2010, I realised I am blessed! It's been a long time for the realisation but I tell you its a beautiful feeling, and you can only realise this if you are regular in your Sadhana, knowledge & Seva. It may be possible that you would take less than 5 years to realise or even more than that! All the best in realising the most beautiful thing in the world.... YOU!
There is nothing to worry! Everything is beautiful :))
Jai Gurudev :)
