I belong to you!

Before I begin this post, let me share a QNA by Guruji:

Q. What is spirituality?
Sri Sri: Do you feel belonging? That is spirituality. When this belongingness expands to include everyone, then spirituality has grown.


Now lets begin :D
During my AMC with Sri Sri, in Bangalore Ashram, Swami Vaishampayanji, shared this amazing story. He said, do you know why Guruji has created so many courses? Part 1, Part 2, Guru Puja, TTC. He then answered, to make you understand the meaning of belongingness. If someone does part 1, and still they haven't understood the meaning of belongingness, He would say do Part 2. Even then you don't understand the meaning of belongingness, then do DSN. Still you don't feel the belongingness, do TTC. Still no? Become AOL Teacher? Still you don't.. then become a Swamiji! Then for sure you will understand, what is belongingness! :D

Small story. But it made me think. I felt what is belongingness? We often say to each other I belong to you. But what does it mean? And do we really mean it, when we say it? Do I really belong to everyone? How many of us really know the meaning of belongingness? How many of us really mean we all belong to each other? What is the meaning of belongingness? What is the meaning of I belong to you? How to know if I feel the belongingness? How to develop that belongingness? What should I do to feel I belong to all? Just meditate on this thought.

Say for example, there is a beggar. Now what does belongingness mean? Does it mean, I will hug the beggar, greet them as we do to our friends? Another example, say there is a terrorist or a robber who has come to rob your house. Will you go to the robber and say I belong to you! :)

Think about it. Belongingness is a beautiful thing. Think about it. Perhaps you won't find the meaning anywhere else but in your meditation. Just meditate on this word. Belongingness. What is the meaning? Why is it needed? Or is it really needed? Can I just belong to a group of people? Do I really belong to the whole world?
