Should we take our emotions and feelings seriously?
Our feelings and emotions changes in no time.
Feeling down and out, you listen to some good music - Boom - you are up.
Feeling angry, you eat some good food - Emotions have changed.
Feeling lazy to not exercise, but if you still exercise, you feel awesome post workout.
One of the greatest illusions is our emotions & feelings.
Yet, few of us hold on to it so tightly that they can live on it for their entire lifetime.
Is it really worth holding on to these ever changing, fleeting emotions and feelings?
Should we really take our feelings and emotions seriously?
People hold responsible others for making them go through such and such emotions and feelings, pleasant or unpleasant. Could there by any act more foolish than this?
You, the unchanging, pure witness consciousness identifying yourself to be the ever changing emotions and feelings!
Why did you make me go through this?
Why did you do this?
You are responsible for this.
Holding on to these questions so tightly and damaging your own mind and system.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji says:
"Your feelings keep going up and down. Do not attach too much importance to them. Bundle them up, put them aside and move ahead with commitment! Without commitment there is no stability, no happiness, and no progress in life."
Irrespective of how you feel, just keep it aside, and you will see it changes again in no time.
Live your life with commitment, not being an emotional fool.
Emotions are good. It keeps us human and separates us from non-living things but understand that we are not emotions. We are much more than that.
