The Power of Belief and Commitment

Reflections

A mission can be understood, but a vision can only be believed.

When someone has a mission, others can understand it. They know what needs to be done and how to go about it.

But a vision is different. A vision cannot always be understood. It has to be believed.

You have to have faith in the person who holds that vision, and with that belief, you work together towards it. If that belief is missing, all efforts will remain at the surface level.

The person who has the vision knows the why behind it. That is why they are doing what they are doing. Others may never fully understand that why. And that is precisely why belief becomes so important.

You believe in the person who has the vision, even when you cannot completely understand the vision itself.

Commitment Is What Makes You Powerful

The very reason for fear and confusion in life is often a lack of commitment.

If you are living a life where you can wake up at any time, sleep at any time, and do whatever work you want at any time, with no fixed time for anything, there is bound to be fear and confusion in your life.

Why? Because there is a lack of commitment.

But when you know that you are committed to something, and that not just at any time of the day, but at a particular time every single day, you have to show up and take responsibility, you become a powerful person.

You become powerful because you have taken up a commitment.

The most powerful people are those who are committed.

It is not the big things that we do once in a while that make us powerful. It is the small things that we do repeatedly, every single day, with commitment.

That is how one becomes powerful.

The greater your commitment, the more powerful you become.

Some people have absolutely no schedule in their lives. They do whatever they want, whenever they want, according to their own will. And they feel that they are the kings of their lives.

Unfortunately, they are often the weakest.

Because when there is no commitment, there is no discipline. And when there is no discipline, fear, confusion, and sadness can easily find their way into life.

To overcome that sadness, to overcome that weakness, they begin looking for escapes through different mediums. They try to escape the present moment rather than face it.

But a strong person is someone who shows up every single day and takes responsibility.

A strong person does not wait for the right mood, the right circumstances, or the right moment.

They show up because they are committed.

Commitment gives you strength. Responsibility gives you purpose. And showing up every single day makes you powerful.

A vision may begin with one person's belief, but it takes the commitment of many to bring it to life.

OlderWhen someone dies, who are we really crying for?
