When someone dies, who are we really crying for?
Are we crying for the dead because that someone died and we feel that something really bad happened to them, and that is why we cry? Or is it because we feel that we have lost something, and we cry over that loss?
So, are we really worried or sad about the person who has gone, or are we worried and sad about our own loss?
This is something we need to ponder on.
If love is all about what I am getting and what I am not getting, that is really not love. That is something you have wrapped in the design paper of love. It is selfish, basically. You are crying for the loss that you have faced. It is selfish in nature. Don't call it love.
It is said that our actual home is elsewhere, and we just come to Earth again and again for some time. So, if a person is actually going to their actual home, we should be happy about it because, in a few days, eventually, we will all be going to our home. So, we should be happy about the fact that the person is finally home. Love means being happy for them!
I'm not saying that we should be robotic and not have human emotions. It is very natural to miss someone's physical presence. But there has to be a limit to mourning. You mourn someone's death, you cry, and then you let go.
Because it is said that once the soul merges into the universal consciousness, it can see, hear, and feel everything that its loved ones are going through. So, will they be happy to see you mourn and cry again and again and again?
We are actually not letting them be.
This is something we need to think about.
